School Uniform, (from September 2025)
EYFS, (Nursery and Reception)
Welcome to Longroyde Primary School. As your child prepares to begin their journey in Reception, this marks a special and exciting time. Every effort will be made to ensure a happy and smooth transition into school life.
At Longroyde Primary School, comfort and readiness for active learning are valued highly. Beginning in September 2025, an active uniform will be introduced for Early Years pupils. This uniform supports freedom of movement and full participation in physical and outdoor activities throughout the school day, eliminating the need for changing into separate PE clothing.
The active uniform closely resembles the current PE uniform used across the school:
- White polo shirt (school emblem optional)
- Black sweatshirt, zipped hoodie, or cardigan (school emblem optional)
- Black jogger bottoms, leggings, shorts, or skorts
- Trainers (preferably black or white)
- Black, red, or white bows or headbands
- Pupils may wear plain clothing or items from the school’s branded uniform range
Recognising the importance of capturing special moments, children are welcome to wear the Year 1 to Year 6 uniform on their first day or on individual photograph day if preferred. After the photography session, children will be changed back into their active uniform.
School Uniform EYFS - from September 2025
Year 1 to Year 6 Uniform and PE Kit
Children should wear either plain clothing that complies with the Uniform Policy or the school’s branded uniform.
In January 2020 a new logo was introduced for Longroyde Nursery and Primary School. Although the updated logo has been adopted by the school, it has not yet been fully reflected in the currently available branded uniform. Over the coming years, uniform items featuring the new logo will gradually become available for purchase. In the meantime, existing branded uniform items remain acceptable and can still be purchased where available.
Uniform Expectations:
- White polo shirt (school emblem optional)
- Red cardigan or sweatshirt (school emblem optional)
- Grey or black trousers
- Skirt or pinafore (knee-length or just above – no shorter; cropped or cut-off trousers and culottes are not permitted)
- Red and white checked summer dress
- White socks or grey/black tights with skirt, pinafore, or dress
- Grey/black socks with trousers
- Sensible black shoes or plain black trainers
- Stud earrings only (must be removed on PE days unless using plastic bioflex earrings)
PE Days:
- House-coloured T-shirt
- Black tracksuit bottoms, leggings, shorts, or skorts
- Black sweatshirt (school emblem optional), zipped hoodie (zoodie), or cardigan
- Trainers (preferably black or white
Allocated PE days can be found on each child’s Year Group Page. On these days, children should attend school wearing their full PE kit.
School Uniform and PE Kit Y1 to Y6 - from September 2025
Swimming
Year 4 go swimming on a Wednesday. One class will attend from September to February, the other class February to July. On swimming days children should arrive in uniform and bring:
- A towel
- Swimsuit (boy’s shorts should be above the knee and not baggy)
- Goggles (optional).
Please label all clothing with your child’s name.
How to Order School Emblem Uniform and Accessories
Longroyde Primary School uniform is only available to purchase direct from school, (not local stockists).
The preferred method to order and pay is online via the School Money/Teachers2Parents website or App. Your order will be delivered to the School Office for you to collect, if you do not yet have a Username and Password please contact either School Office.
Uniform Price List
If ordering via School Money is not possible, a paper order form can be requested from the School Office at either the Field Top Road or Longroyde Road site.
Uniform Swop
A Facebook Group has been created for parents/carers to donate uniform items that are no longer needed. Search Facebook "longroyde primary school uniform swap".
