• Friday 18 December 2020 National Lockdown - January 2021  To enable us to plan for the closure announced by the Government at 8pm, Monday 4th January we will be CLOSED to all children, (nursery and school) on TUESDAY 5TH JANUARY.

• Wednesday 2 December 2020 Christmas Cards In light of the fact we are unable to circulate Christmas cards around school because of COVID, there are Christmas blogs set up on the VLE for each site, where children can leave festive messages for their classmates and teachers.
• Friday 27 November 2020 Staff Feedback Mr Fox has been made aware of lots of lovely comments made recently on the gate and social media about staff, to share these with colleagues we are setting up a display board in school .
• Friday 27 November 2020 Longroyde Road is a School Street Calderdale Council Transportation Team and Active Calderdale have been working with schools to help pupils, parents and staff safely return to school.There are currently 12 Calderdale schools which have School Streets in place, restricting the traffic at school drop-off and pick-up times with the aim of creating safer spaces for all.Residents who live on a street that is directly affected by these closures can apply for a permit, which will allow them access to the street during the closure.This work supports the Council’s Vision 2024 for Calderdale by aiming to tackle the climate emergency, improve air quality and become the most active borough in the North by 2024 through the Active Calderdale movement.We are very proud to be part of this initiative.

• Tuesday 20 October 2020 Year 5 DT - Apple Crumble In Y5 DT lesson today, we made apple crumbles following a recipe. The children weighed the ingredients; peeled and chopped the apples and rubbed the flour, sugar and margarine together.
