British Red Cross Kindness Gifts

Thank you so much to all the wonderful children and their families who donated to
the British Red Cross this year and raised a lovely £90!

They are as follows:-

EYFS/Key Stage 1
George A, Lillian, Kelvin, Dale-Junior

Key Stage 2
Wilfred, Ava B, Jamie, Va’Shaun, Orla, Esther, Louie, Mia, Ebony

I met the KS2 children, and Mrs McCaul met with the KS1 pupils. We looked at the gift options and the children then discussed what gifts they wanted to buy. They decided upon the following:-

KS1

Love Reunited - This gift helps the Red Cross to reunite families in the UK who have been separated due to conflict, violence and persecution.

Protect the Planet - This gift helps protect people to stay safe from, adapt to and cope with the effects of climate change.

KS2

Love Reunited - This gift helps the Red Cross to reunite families in the UK who have been separated due to conflict, violence and persecution.

Incase of Emergency - This gift gets essential emergency aid to people in an emergency (in disaster zones and areas of conflict).

These children would like to wish everyone in the Longroyde community a "very fantastic Christmas", as their donations were in lieu of buying Christmas cards and gifts. The e-cards that we bought will be sent to all classes on December 2nd.

The children were very thoughtful when discussing how to spend their money, and listened to others’ opinions respectfully. They truly do embody our school values. Thank you also to the office staff who collected the donations.
