Summer Holiday Club, Longroyde Road
Our Summer Holiday Club is based at our Longroyde Road site and provides care from Reception to Year 6 in a dedicated out of school club room.
Welcome to Longroyde Holiday Club!
We’re so excited to be running our very first holiday club here at Longroyde – it’s all new and very exciting for us, and we can’t wait to get started!
On the days your child is booked in, please drop off and pick up from the Longroyde Road site. The bottom gate will be open in the morning and afternoon to make things nice and easy for you.
We’ll be using:
- Both of our After School Club rooms
- The DT room (especially if we’re cooking!)
- The old school building (perfect for musical fun!)
- And, of course, all our lovely outdoor spaces
Miss Hemingway will also be leading some sporty afternoons to keep everyone active and out in the fresh air – weather permitting, we’ll be outdoors as much as possible!
Who’s who:
The club will be run by me, Mrs Shaw (Manager), along with Miss Hemingway and Miss Smith. If you’ve got any questions or problems at all, just come and chat to me – I’m more than happy to help. Any booking or payment queries should also come my way.New to the junior site?
I know some of the children might never have been on the junior site before – please don’t worry! I’ll make sure they get a little tour and have plenty of time to settle in and get to know everyone.Medical or additional needs?
If your child has any medical conditions or needs some extra support, just drop me an email and let me know what we can do to help make their time with us safe, happy, and fun.Snacks & themed days
Children will be offered healthy snacks throughout the day. We’re also hoping to run a few fun "themed" days – we’ll always check with grown-ups first before offering anything different food-wise.Session times:
- Full day: 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Morning session: 8:30am – 12:00pm
- Afternoon session: 12:00pm – 3:30pm
What to bring:
- A water bottle
- A packed lunch (please no nuts)
- Sun hat
- Sun cream
- Sensible footwear
Look out for a welcome text so you’ve got my number for any emergencies, absences, or quick questions.

Facilities
The children have access to a range of equipment for work and play during their time in the club. There is a television, Wii and reading corner amongst other games and craft activities.
Children can complete schoolwork if they wish and have the use of the four computers which are linked to the school's ICT system, giving them access to all the facilities there.
The club has a dedicated food preparation and serving area where our staff provide breakfast in the morning and a selection of hot and cold food after school.
Opening Times
- Full Days: 8.30am - 3.30pm Snacks Provided, Bring Your Own Lunch
- Morning Sessions: 8.30am - 12.00pm
- Afternoon Sessions: 12.00pm - 3.30pm
Booking Details
- Bookings must be made at least one week in advance via School Money and payment made at the time of booking to allow your child to participate. If payment is not made in advance, then we will be unable to allow participation.
- Book in Advance: Via School Money website or the Teachers2Parents Mobile App
- Childcare Vouchers: Payment may be made with Childcare Voucehrs however you will need to book and pay for the places via School Money initially.
- Ad-hoc sessions: Please contact longroydeholidayclub@longroyde.calderdale.sch.uk to check availability.
