Message from Miss Parry, Headteacher
On behalf of all the children, the staff and governors I would like to welcome you to Longroyde Primary School’s website.
I hope you find the pages informative and that it gives you a feel for the school, the children and the adults who treat each day as a new learning opportunity.
I am so proud to be the Headteacher of this caring community, with an excellent staff team, dedicated Governors, supportive parents and happy, engaged children. We seek to recognise, value and nurture the individual qualities that make each child unique. Each of us brings our own skills, abilities, gifts and talents. We strive for all children to achieve their best academically and socially as they progress in their learning journey.
Inclusivity is at the heart of what we do and one of the reasons parents travel long distances to bring their children to us. Our aim is to provide teaching and learning that is stimulating, challenging and tailored to the needs of each individual child. We want our pupils to be enquiring learners who are able to pursue their interests and make meaningful contributions in the world, using their excellent standard of education as a basis. To achieve this, we offer a broad and balanced curriculum, both inside and outside the classroom. A strong emphasis is placed on providing our children with curriculum enrichment activities to enhance their learning. These range from offering a variety of clubs, sporting opportunities and numerous school activities relating to different aspects of the curriculum. Take a look at our gallery of pictures to see some of what we have achieved over the years.
Academic progress has been recognised by our latest Ofsted inspection and the year on year rise in attainment scores. Our staff are long-serving, experienced and dedicated; whether they work in our 2-year-old provision (Little Longroyde), our Nursery helping children to start education, or as they are about to transition to their high schools in Year 6. Staff regardless of their roles in school are committed to helping your child grow and develop.
We are incredibly proud of our school. Our website will give you a flavour of
what goes on at Longroyde Primary School, but I hope you will come and visit us
so you can experience first-hand our incredible spirit and all we have to offer.
To arrange a visit, call us on 01484 715300.
I look forward to meeting you.
Miss Parry
Longroyde School has a great team of teachers. I have always found them all very approachable, kind and helpful. All my children have attended Longroyde, my oldest been 21, 14 and my youngest 6 and I have never had any problems with the school. They have all had nothing but a great experience at school and I cannot recommend this school enough.
